Highlands and Islands Enterprise First Minister announces £10m boost to planned decommissioning ‘centre of excellence’ in Shetland
Following a meeting in Oslo on Tuesday with senior executives of AF Group and Lerwick Port Authority, the First Minister today said the Scottish Government and Highlands and Islands Enterprise would each make up to £5 million available to support the ambitious project, which will create in the region of 150 new jobs in Shetland and Aberdeen at its peak activity.

Call for Applications - Mixed Media Residency
North Lands Creative Glass and Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop are working in partnership to offer a nine-week residency for four visual artists from 24 September to 23 November 2012. They are looking for two sculptors and two glass artists who have an interest in exploring new forms of making through collaboration. HIE launches consultation of Gaelic language plan 2012-15
