Welcome Pack - English

This guide will give you important facts and information about the Highlands of Scotland if you have newly arrived in the area or if you are considering coming to work and live here.

The area is well served by excellent hospitals, health centres and schools. A well-developed transport system, modern amenities and telecommunications network add value to the area. In addition to the range of outdoor activities, there are thriving amateur sports leagues, and cultural activities throughout the year.

Whilst we have provided general information in this pack, you should always take further advice based on your own situation. For additional information, we recommend that you follow web links where listed.

We understand that leaving home and moving to a new country can be difficult so we want to help when you arrive or to prepare in advance. We hope you will find the information useful and we welcome you to Highland – a great place to live, work and play.
