    Mountain Incident - Loch Treig area, Lochaber

    About 1400 hours on Saturday 6 March 2026, Police at Fort William were advised of a male climber who had fallen whilst climbing in the Loch Treig area of Lochaber. The climber was in a party of three.

    Rescue 137, Seaking helicopter from RAF Lossiemouth attended the scene. The climber and his companions were located and the casualty was evacuated from the hill and airlifted to Fort William. He was thereafter taken by road ambulance to the Belford Hospital, Fort William, where he is currently being treated for a head injury.
