Update - Fire - Culloden Court Nursing Home - Smithton, Inverness

Police and Highlands and Islands Fire and Rescue Service are continuing to deal with a serious fire at Culloden Court Nursing Home, Smithton.
The fire was reported to Police at around 17.49 this evening. The 59 elderly residents were safely evacuated as were the 12 nursing home staff.
All residents have now been taken to Smithton Primary School until suitable accommodation has been found.
The building itself is still well ablaze and eight fire units are tackling the fire.
Nearby residents are urged to remain indoors with windows and doors closed until the fire has been extinguished.
