Police appeal after vandals damage headstone at the old cemetery Balintore, Tain

Police are appealing to the public for information after a callous vandals caused damage to a headstone at the old cemetery in Balintore, Tain.

The damage was caused to a sandstone cross perched on the headstone of local man who died back in 1918.

His daughter, who is in her 90s, is said be extremely distressed as a result of the vandalism.

She is not up to speaking about the incident but Police are anxious to speak to anyone who may have been in that area and witnessed anything suspicious at the old cemetery in Balintore between 10 October and 13 October 2024 to come forward.
