Drivers urged to be extra cautious due to high winds

Issued: 17 Nov 2010

Police are advising motorists to take extra on the roads across the Highlands and Islands tonight following reports of fallen trees in a number of areas.

Fallen trees have been causing problems in the Dores and Drumnadrochit areas this afternoon due to gale force winds and one lane of the A82 was blocked at around 1400 by a tree.

Motorists should drive with caution and take their time whilst such conditions prevail.
