Roadworks Around Inverness Town House

Issued: 22 Mar 2025

Roadworks are due to commence on Monday 26 March 2025 in the vicinity of the Town House as part of the City Centre improvement works. These works are scheduled to take around 18 weeks to complete but temporary traffic management should only be required for six of those weeks, depending on the findings of initial site investigations.

During the first 2 weeks the Contractor is to provide new water pipe connections and these works will take place in the evenings only, with traffic control using temporary traffic signals.

On week 3, commencing on the 9th April, streetscape works, which include the construction of an additional pedestrian crossing from Church Street to Castle Wynd, are due to commence and these are likely to have an impact on traffic, particularly at peak times. The traffic will be controlled by temporary traffic lights. These works will take place during the day but may also extend into the evenings. The Pedestrian Crossing outside ~McDonalds~ will be out of commission during the periods of the works.
