New Licensing Committee/Board membership

The Chairman of the new Highland Licensing Committee and Highland
Licensing Board is Councillor Peter Corbett, Inverness Central.
Vice-Chairman is Councillor Margaret Paterson, Dingwall and Seaforth.
The other 10 members of the Committee are:-
* Caithness, Sutherland and Easter Ross: David Flear, William
Mackay, Linda Munro and Alasdair Rhind.
* Ross, Skye and Lochaber: Richard Greene, Drew Millar and
Allan Henderson.
* Inverness, Nairn, Badenoch and Strathspey: Roy Petersen,
Gregor Rimell and Glynis Sinclair
The Licensing Committee considers general licensing matters, such as
taxi licensing, street trader licences and public entertainment
licences.
Councillors Corbett and Paterson are also the office-bearers of the new 10-member Highland Licensing Board, which oversees liquor licensing and gambling. Councillors Munro and Mackay are not members of the Licensing Board.
The new Highland Licensing Committee/Board replace the three area Licensing Committees/Boards covering Caithness Sutherland and Easter Ross; Ross, Skye and Lochaber and Inverness, Nairn and Badenoch and Strathspey.
