Beats the blues walk back by demand

Issued: 17 Jan 2025

Demand for a guided walk organised by Highland Council's Ranger Service last Sunday (14th Jan) was so high the Rangers have organised a repeat date for their 'Beat the Winter Blues Walk' at Belladrum near Kiltarlity on Wednesday 24th January 12 - 3pm.

Mairi Nicolson, Countryside Ranger for Inverness West said: "We had such an overwhelming response that the first walk was over-subscribed. I guess it's down to lots of people with New Year resolutions trying to keep fit and healthy.

"It's a lovely walk on good tracks and paths through the forest, climbing gently up onto the ridge which gives beautiful views over the Belladrum estate. The estate is home to much wildlife and has many stories to tell from its history."

This event is organised as part of The Highland Council's Planning and Development Services countryside events programme. This is suitable for individuals and family groups and is free to attend. Booking is required.

To book a place or for further information please telephone 01463 710786.

The Highland Council Countryside Rangers are a partnership between The Highland Council and Scottish Natural Heritage with the aim of promoting public enjoyment and appreciation of the countryside and conserving wildlife.
