Update - Rail Incident - Delny Crossing Invergordon

SANDY (father), Kathleen (mother), Leanne (sister, 24), and Derek Thain (brother, 20) would like to make people aware of the tragic death of their son and loving brother Alan Peter Thain who died today at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary (Wednesday 7 February) after having been involved in a collision at Delny crossing, near Invergordon on Friday 2 February.

In a statement released through Police this evening the family said: "Alan was a lively and bubbly character. He was a very promising apprentice joiner and loved his work.

"Alan was a very well liked lad who got on well with people of all ages in and around the Tain area. He will be sorely missed by everyone.

"We would like to take this opportunity to thank family and friends for their continued support, but we would now ask to be left in peace to deal withour tragic loss."
