Update - Rail Incident - Delny Crossing Invergordon

Police can confirm that one man has been fatally injured and another two seriously injured following a collision between a train and car at the Delny crossing at Barbaraville near Invergordon.

All three occupants of the car are teenage males. The two males who have been seriously injured have been taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness for treatment, one by air ambulance (who is currently giving cause for concern) and a second by road.

None of the 13 passengers on 0714 Inverness to Wick northbound train was injured and the train was not derailed during the incident.

There were also four rail staff and the train driver on board and none were injured.

Scotrail are currently removing passengers from the train and taking them to waiting coaches to continue their journey.
