Serious Assault - Inverness

POLICE APPEAL FOR INFORMATION FOLLOWING SERIOUS ASSAULT IN INVERNESS

Police in Inverness are appealing for information following a serious assault in the Kinmylies area of the city on Saturday night.

At around 9.45pm on Saturday (17 February 2024) on Kinmylies Way, Inverness, a 20-year-old man was the victim of a “vicious,” assault carried out by three other males.

The victim was struck in the face with what is believed to be a bottle. The wound he sustained required a number stitches.

Those responsible are believed to be part of a larger group and were wearing hooded tops. They are all thought to be aged approximately 16 years old or in their mid-teens.

Police are currently carrying out inquiries into this incident and a number of lines of inquiry are being followed.

Police are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or to anyone, who may have information, which will assist this inquiry.
