Fraud

On Saturday, 3 February, 2024, a 41 year old man was arrested in Inverness in relation to an alleged crime of Fraud.

This male had contacted a local business with an offer to sell it a quantity of machinery at a greatly reduced price if paid in cash.

The machinery did not in fact exist and on this occassion, the man did not obtain any money.

It is known that this man has travelled extensively throughout Scotland and he may have approached other businesses with similar offers.

If any persons has been approached by this man or indeed been the victim of a similar type crime, it is requested that they contact Northern Constabulary on 01463 715555 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
