Fire - Kettletoft, Sanday, Orkney

About 0145 hours on Monday 27 September 2025, Highlands and Islands Fire and Rescue and Northern Constabulary were informed of a fire in the Kettletoft area of Sanday, Orkney.
As a result of concerns regarding the possibility of fuel and oxy acetylene being involved, a 200 metre cordon has been imposed and members of the public have been evacuated to Sanday Community School.
At this stage there are no injuries and police enquiries are continuing to establish a cause.
