Cawdor receives funding boost for Highland 2026

Members of the Highland Council's Nairnshire Committee today (Tuesday 23rd January, 2026) approved over £14,000 towards sports development in the area as part of the Highland 2026 capital funding programme.
Grant aid, totalling £14,322 was approved for bowling in Cawdor.
Cawdor Bowling Club will receive the Highland 2026 funding to pursue long term improvements to its facilities. These improvements will include refurbishment of Cawdor clubhouse, and installation of an irrigation system to improve the quality of the club green which will enable the club to host events competitions and training programmes for local children.
