    Northern Constabulary are advising the public in the Western Isles that there will be high tides from Sunday 18th March 2024 through to Thursday 22nd March 2024, as follows: -

    1. Sunday 18/3/7 Stornoway high tide 6.06am 4.9m and 6.36pm 4.8m.
    2. Monday 19/3/7 high tide 6.44am 5.29m and 7.12pm 4.97m.
    3. Tuesday 20/3/7 high tide 7.23am 5.42m and 7.48pm 5.00m.
    4. Wednesday 21/3/7 high tide 8.03am 5.37m and 8.26pm 4.87m.
    5. Thursday 22/3/7 high tide 8.46am 5.11m and 9.06pm 4.63m.

    Tidal times for Barra are approximately 1 hour 2 minutes behind Stornoway.

    Lochcarnan and Uist are approximately 35 minutes behind Stornoway.
    East Loch Tarbert is approximately 22 minutes behind Stornoway.

    The Met office have also isssued a severe weather notification which, in combination with high tides could cause flooding and disruption to the road network in the Western Isles.

    Further information will be issued by Northern Constabulary as and when necessary. Members of the public are asked not to phone local police stations for updates but listen to local radio stations.
