Update - Serious Road Traffic Collision - A9 South of Dalwhinnie

Police can confirm that two people have died following a serious road traffic collision on the A9 a mile and a half south of Dalwhinnie.

The collision between two cars was reported to Police at around 12.15pm today.

Officers from the Force's Road Policing Unit are in attendance and a full road collision investigation will be carried out.

Police are appealing for information and members of the public who may have witnessed the collision are urged to contact Police on 0845 600 5703.

The road is expected to remain closed for a number of hours.

There are no further details at this time in relation to the sex or age of the deceased. No details will be issued until all next of kin have been informed.
