Update 2 - Explosion - Inverness

Police can report that following the attendance of theArmy EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) all potentially live items have been safely removed from the Merkinch area of Inverness.

All roads have now been fully reopened and members of the public who vacated their properties are now able to return.

A joint Police and Fire investigation is ongoing at present.

Members of the public are thanke for their patience whilst the incident was resolved.
