Theft - Balloan Road - Inverness

Police are appealing for information after a pensioner walking in the Balloan Road area of Inverness had his wallet stolen by a young man at around midday on Sunday (5 September 2010).

The man was walking home from the bookmakers when he felt movement in his pocket. When he turned round he saw a man run off with his wallet.

The pensioner was not injured as a result and as well as personal items within the wallet a two figure sum was stolen.

Police say the suspect is described as between 18 and 20 years old, 5ft 8in - 5ft 10in, slim build, with short fair hair. He was also wearing a short sleeved striped top (blue, red and green) and possibly grey jogging bottoms.
