Sudden Death - Burravoe, Shetland

About 3.15pm today (Sat 9th Oct), HM Coastguard responded to a report of a man lost overboard from a fishing vessel near Burravoe Harbour in Shetland.
The 61yr old Shetland man was recovered from the water by his colleagues who carried out CPR until the arrival of the rescue helicopter. He was conveyed to Gilbert Bain Hospital, Lerwick but sadly died.
Police are at an early stage of enquiries into the circumstances of the incident, but there do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances.
Details of the deceased are being witheld until notification of next of kin.
