Police recover £5,000 worth of drugs in Wick

POLICE in Wick have recovered 5000 suspected valium tablets from a house in Wick, with a street value estimated to be in the region of £5,000.

A 29 year old man was been arrested and a report has been sent to the Procurator Fiscal Wick in connection with this incident.

Detective Inspector Michael Sutherland said:

"Northern Constabulary is determined to target and catch drugs dealers. We have the support of the community and will act on the information they provide us. The warning is simple. If you are involved in drug related crime, be prepared to face the consequences.

"I would urge any members of the public to come forward with any information or suspicions they have about drugs dealers in their local communities. They can contact their local Police officers or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. Any information received will be treated confidentially."
