Holiday park offers reward for information leading to recovery of stolen gas cylinders

Issued: 4 Nov 2024

The owners of a holiday park in Fort William are offering a reward for information which leads to the recovery of 39 Calor gas cylinders which have been stolen from their premises.

The theft happened between 29 October and 1 November 2024. The 39 orange coloured, 47kg propane cylinders were removed from a locked cage within the Linnhe Lochside Holiday Park in Corpach, Fort William.

The estimated value of the stolen cylinders is approximately £3,000.

Each cylinder is roughly 1.30m in height and not easily transportable. Due to the large quantity, it is possible they have been offered for sale in bulk and a large vehicle was used to transport them from the site.

Police would like to hear from anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area of the holiday park between the above times.

An undisclosed reward has been offered for information and anyone who may know anything is urged to contact Police in Fort William on 01397 702361 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
