Forged Notes

POLICE are advising the public that a number of forged £20 notes are in circulation in the Inverness area.

The forged notes brought to the attention of Police to date have been Royal Bank of Scotland notes printed on poor quality printer type paper, however, the public should be vigilant whenever they are tendered any bank notes to ensure that they are not forgeries.

Members of the public are urged to be on the lookout for these notes, and anyone coming across them or who may have information regarding them is asked to contact Inverness Police on 01463 715555 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
