Fatal Road Traffic Collision - A9 South of Dalwhinnie

Police are currently attending a two vehicle fatal road collision on the A9 three miles south of Dalwhinnie.
The collision, which involved a car and a motorcycle with two on board, took place at around 10.48am this morning.
The male and female motorcycle riders were pronounced dead at the scene and all four of the car's occupants had to be freed by Highlands and Islands Fire and Rescue Service. Two of the occupants injuries are described as serious and all four occupants have been taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness for treatment.
The road has been closed and is expected to remain closed for some time. There are currently no diversions in place and motorists are advised to remain patient and find an alternative route if possible.
The Force's Road Policing Unit will carry out a full road collision investigation and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
There are no further details at this time and no details of the deceased will be issued until all next of kin have been informed.
