Drugs seized in Shetland

YESTERDAY, 25th August 2010, police officers searched 2 houses in Lerwick, Shetland, where significant quantities of Amphetamine, Heroin and money were seized. A 47-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman have been arrested and remain in police custody. These seizures are as a result of determined action from the police to act on information provided by the public. The disruption of drugs misuse and supply on Shetland continues and can only progress with support and information provided by the community. A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
