Disturbance - Longhope , Island of Hoy- UPDATE

Police can confirm that residents of Longhope on the island of Hoy have now returned to their homes, following a police response and investigation into a disturbance which resulted in a man being detained in police custody this afternoon.
A 25m cordon remains in place around a dwelling in the community whilst police complete their investigations. Residents of the neighbouring house remain in temporary accommodation until tomorrow.
Police would like to thank local people , the Coastguard,Orkney Ferries and Orkney Island Council for their assistance and support during this incident.
