Photo and Interview Opportunity at The Highland Football Academy on Monday

Peter Budge from Caithness has been appointed Football Development Officer with The Highland Council, based at The Highland Football Academy in Dingwall. A native of Wick, he coached the under 15's and the under 17's Ross County teams before becoming manager of Wick Academy last summer.

The three year post is jointly funded by The Highland Council, the Scottish Football Association, SportScotland, HIE, Orkney Council and Comhairle nan Eilean Siar.

Peter's main responsibility will be to drive forward the National Plan for Youth Football in Highland, Orkney and the Western Isles.

He starts his post on Monday 5 February and will be available for photographs and interviews at 2pm at The Highland Football Academy, Victoria Park, Dingwall.
