Temporary closure of road bridge in Alness

A temporary road closure affecting the road bridge which crosses the Averon River in Alness will be in place from 7pm to 9.30pm on Wednesday 11 August to allow for the bridge to be inspected.
During this period an alternative route for drivers will be available via the A9 trunk road. Access for emergency services will be maintained and pedestrians are asked to follow the signs giving a safe route across the footbridge next to the main road bridge.
The work is part of a routine programme of bridge inspections.
