Rok Administration

Issued: 10 Nov 2024

Members of The Highland Council's Housing and Social Work Committee have expressed their disappointment and concern that Rok plc has gone into Administration.

Rok have a number of Council contracts and also provide a sub-contracting service on other projects.

The main contract with the Housing and Property Service is a kitchen replacement programme in Caithness and Sutherland, valued at more than £1 million. The contract is more than 50% complete.

Rok was recently awarded a contract by TEC Services to build an extension to the Seater Landfill Site, Bower, Caithness, at a cost of £950,000. Work has not started yet on this project.

Convener Sandy Park said: "The potential loss of jobs and the impact on contracts is very concerning. Clearly we hope the Administrator, PricewaterhouseCoopers, can find a buyer quickly to save jobs and minimise disruption to contracts."
