New parking restrictions for Harbour Road, Inverness

Issued: 29 Jul 2024

From Monday (2 August), The Highland Council is introducing new parking restrictions at a busy location at the Longman Industrial Estate, Inverness.

The double yellow lines will stretch from Harbour Road from the Longman Roundabout to the Millburn Road roundabout and on most of the cul-de-sacs along this stretch of carrriageway, including a section of Seafield Road.

The Council has introduced the restrictions in response to complaints from businesses reporting that uncontrolled parking is obstructing deliveries and access for emergency vehicles.

The measure is the first phase of a review of parking and waiting restrictions covering the whole of the Longman Industrial Estate.

Traffic wardens will be patrolling the area regularly to enforce the restrictions. The fixed penalty for parking on double yellow lines is £30.
