Water Incident - River Ness

At 2100 hours on 15th May 2026, Police at Inverness received a report of a male person entering the River Ness from the Grant Street Bridge, Inverness. Coastguard were notified and a male person was recovered unconscious from the river by the crew of the North Kessock lifeboat. The male is currently in Intensive Care at Raigmore Hospital, Inverness where he is in a critical condition. His details are not being released until next of kin have been informed.
