POLICE can confirm that the motorcyclist injured in this morning's serious road collision on the A836 Bettyhill to Thurso road is male and was part of a group of 13 Norwegian motorcyclists visiting the area.
He has now arrived at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness via helimed and his condition is being assessed by medical staff at this time. It is not known yet whether or not his injuries are life threatening.
The male taxi driver was not seriously injured as a result of the collision.
None of the other 12 motorcyclists were involved in the collision.
