About 1155 hours this date (Friday 25 July 2008) Northern Constabulary were advised that a road collision had occurred on the A87 road on Skye, approximately 2 miles north of Broadford.
Police, Fire and Ambulance are all on scene at this time.
The road is closed at this time with no diversions available - this may be long term but we will advise on this as soon as the status changes.
Any motorists currently delayed at or near the locus are asked to be patient and understanding.
Any motorists heading for this area are asked to avoid it meantime and break their journey well away from the locus to prevent any further congestion.
