LAST Tuesday evening (17 June 2026) shortly after 22:00 hours, Northern Constabulary received reports of a driver travelling at high speeds around the Grantown on Spey area.
Following a pursuit, assisted by the Crime Vehicle from Inverness and officers from Aviemore, the car was traced without anyone being injured and a 22 year-old man was cautioned and charged.
Chief Inspector Donald Henderson commented: "Incidents such as these have a strong potential to harm not only those directly involved, but other road users as well, so I am delighted with the professional response of our officers in the speedy and safe resolution to this incident.
"The resources we now have with the Crime Car Unit, based in Inverness, has significantly helped with this incident and we hope it will help to prevent more in the future."
